The Defense Position

 Meditation:

    In the game of netball, each player has a specific position and responsibility. The role of a Goal Keeper (GK) and a Wing Defence (WD) on a netball team may not be the most important position, but having a strong defense is crucial to the outcome of the game. A Goal Keeper works closely with the Wing Defence to intercept passes, disrupt the flow of the game, and force turnovers. With their strong defensive skills and agile techniques, they are able to prevent the opposing team from scoring goals. As it is in the game of netball where the defenders are pivotal to block and prevent the opposing team from scoring, so the members of the body of Christ need the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and Jesus Christ, our defender, to oppose our enemy. When we rely on and call on the name of the Lord, he intercepts demonic forces and blocks the fiery darts of the enemy as they are launched at us. Our defender, Jesus Christ, cramps and paralyzes our opposer, Satan, preventing him from defeating us. Our only defense against the schemes and plots of the enemy is Jesus Christ, our chief defender and conqueror. With Jesus Christ as our defender, we will triumph and win the victory.

Let us pray:

    Almighty God, my rock and my salvation, God of truth, and without iniquity, just and right are you, O God. Lord Jesus, I wait upon you, for our expectations are from you. You, O God alone are our salvation, and our defense; we shall not be moved. Almighty God, when the enemy comes in like a flood, tempting us to go against your will, we trust you, O God, to be our defender and raise up a standard against him. In the areas where we are weak, we ask you, Lord, to strengthen us. Father, be our stronghold in times of trouble and build a fence around us, so when the Satan charges at us, he will not be victorious. Lord, we call on you to intercept, block, and disrupt every principality, rulers of darkness, and spiritual demonic force in the spirit realm as they are launched from the enemy camp. Father, diffuse the enemy's plan to disrupt and destroy the relationship we have established with you. Strengthen us, O God, and shield us with the armors that we will be able to withstand every attack of the enemy. Almighty God, be our defense and help us in times of trouble in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
