What Matters Most
Happy New Year Scripture Reading: St. Luke19: 37-40 Worship Song: Bow Down and Worship Him Meditation: Should you ask a group of people what matters most in life, the responses would vary based on their perspectives. I'm sure the majority of the responses would be family, relatives, their jobs, relationships, good health, wealth, and/or happiness. But what should matter the most in life is worshiping God in the beauty of holiness with gratitude, humility, reverence, and awe. Worship changes everything. When Paul and Silas were bound in chains behind the prison wall, they worshiped, singing praises unto God. Their singing attracted the attention of heaven, and God intervened on their behalf. As a result of their adoration, the atmosphere shifted—the prison doors suddenly opened, and the chains that bound the prisoners were released (Acts 16).
