Lost Its Identity
Good morning Scripture reading: Romans 6:1-6 Worship song: Basics of Life Meditation: There is a growing public perception that many churches today are experiencing an identity crisis. In our attempt to accommodate those with different distinctive characters, we have dangerously compromised our moral standards. We cannot allow ourselves to lose our identity. We must remain vigilant and steadfast. The church risks losing its identity when it disconnects from its core biblical principles. A church that strays from its identity in Christ may still act like, look like, and sound like believers, but its heart remains far from God. When the church starts to prioritize worldly desires, seeks material gain, and relies on its own strength, it becomes spiritually disconnected from God.
