The Bread That Sustains
Good morning Scripture reading: St. John 6:25-35 Worship song: Bread of Life Meditation: The bread that Jesus offers cannot be purchased with money, nor is it found in a bakery. No earthly combination of ingredients can produce this bread. This bread is not a product of earthly means but a divine provision symbolizing Jesus Christ himself. Addressing the multitude and his disciples, Jesus boldly identifies himself as the bread of life. He said, "I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." Jesus is the bread of life, nourishing and sustaining us spiritually. Jesus promised that those who come to Him will have their spiritual hunger satisfied, and their thirsty souls quenched.
