Good morning Scripture reading: Exodus 12:37-42 Worship song: Faithful Pilgrim Meditation: The Lord God revealed to Abram in a vision that his descendants would become immigrants in a strange land and would be mistreated for 400 years, after which time He would send a deliverer to rescue them from bondage. God assured Abram that after that he would deliver them from their oppressors, and they would leave that country with great substance. The events that unfolded after Joseph's injustice and hardship created the circumstances that led to the Israelites' enslavement in Egypt. After Joseph's death, the Israelites in Egypt continued to experience growth and prosperity, multiplying greatly. However, a new Pharaoh, who did not know Joseph, came to power.
