The Massive Invasion
Good morning Scripture reading: 2 Chronicles 20:1-17 Worship song: The Battle Is Not Yours Meditation: When King Jehoshaphat heard that a large army planned an attack against his kingdom, he earnestly sought the Lord and proclaimed a solemn fast throughout all Judah. King Jehoshaphat turned to the powerful sovereign Lord for divine help knowing his army was defenseless against the invaders. He held steadfast to his belief and faith in God’s fulfilled promises, specifically when God drove out the inhabitants of Canaan so that Abraham's descendants could dwell in the land. The king's prayer proclaimed God's unmatched authority and sovereignty. He confessed his people's weakness and their absolute dependence on God for rescue. He ended his prayer declaring they know not what to do, but their eyes are on God.
