You Shall Be Free Indeed
Good morning Scripture reading: St. John 8:31-36 Worship song: I'm Free Meditation: The prophet Isaiah foretold that an anointed messenger, guided by the Spirit of the Lord, would bring good news, set the captives free, and release the imprisoned (Isaiah 61). In St. Luke 4:18-21, Jesus read this exact scripture to the people of Nazareth and declared Himself the fulfillment of that prophecy, revealing Himself as the promised Messiah sent to deliver and rescue humanity from spiritual bondage and the oppression of sin. Jesus came as the perfect, sinless Son of God, offering redemption and freedom from sin's dominion. He took on a human body without any sin or flaw, like a pure and spotless sacrifice, to rescue us from Satan's deception.
