Call Upon The Lord
Good morning Scripture reading: Matthew 20:29-34 Worship song: He's Only A Prayer Away Meditation: The blind men sitting by the wayside likely spent many years enduring their affliction, waiting to be delivered, waiting for the opportunity to be made whole. They must have grown weary and tired of being in the same place and in the same situation. Nonetheless, they waited patiently, anticipating a breakthrough, believing that their change would come. When they heard Jesus passing by, they knew this was their moment of deliverance, and so they shouted with a loud voice, asking Jesus to have mercy on them. The crowd told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, showing that faith persists through opposition. Continue to praise God loudly, for your victory is secured by Jesus.
