Good morning Scripture reading: Jeremiah 26 Worship song: In the Valley Meditation: Jeremiah was divinely chosen by God to prophesy and warn the people of Jerusalem about the imminent destruction of their city due to their disobedience and idolatry. Known as the weeping prophet, Jeremiah faced numerous challenges and difficulties, including imprisonment, but he remained faithful and resilient. He was accused by the priests and prophets of being a false prophet and accused of committing treason for his warning about the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. Enraged by Jeremiah's prophecy, the people, along with the priests and prophets, conspired against him, seeking the princes' permission to kill him. However, God was with Jeremiah, providing protection and shielding him so that his spirit and testimony were not shattered.
