Abstain From Evil

Good morning Scripture Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:22-24 Worship song: Make Me Whole   Meditation:      The Bible, which is our compass, strongly warns against indulging in evil. Evil is the opposite of good and, by definition, is something morally wrong, sinful, or wicked committed against human beings and against God. When a person chooses to participate in wickedness, they defy God's command. Evil causes unnecessary grief, pain, and suffering. King Solomon, the author of Proverbs 4, emphasizes the importance of staying away from evil. He warns against entering into the path of the wicked and in the way of evil men. His urgent plea is that we walk in the way of the righteous and avoid the path of the wicked because the way of the wicked is darkness.       David, in Psalm 24, urged us to depart from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it, listen to the advice of the wise, fear the LORD, and shun evil because those who are evil will b...
