Knocking On The Door

Good morning Scripture reading: Revelation 3:19-22 Worship song: May I Come In Meditation:      How many times have you knocked at a closed door, expecting an answer or to be welcomed inside? Knocking is not just a polite gesture; it is a respectful and courteous request for entry into someone else private space. Jesus used the gesture of knocking to alert the Laodicean church that their heart was not aligned with his will. The Laodicean church grew lukewarm, caught up in self-righteousness, and vanity effectively shut Jesus out. When Jesus stands outside the door knocking, he is extending an invitation to each of us. He calls us to actively seek him; to open our hearts and receive him so we can experience the fullness of his presence.       By inviting Jesus into our hearts, we open the channel for closer fellowship and a deeper, intimate relationship with him.
