When Enemies Become Friends
Good morning Scripture reading: St. Luke 23:6-12 Worship song: Raise A Hallelujah Meditation: King Herod and Pontius Pilate were long-standing rivals. However, on the day of Jesus’ trial, they set aside their differences and united in their decision to condemn an innocent man, thereby becoming allies in their pursuit. Herod and Pontius Pilate acted to safeguard their political interests, maintain public order, and appease the crowd, even as they unknowingly fulfilled God's divine plan. Often, when former enemies collaborate against an individual, it is driven by mutual hatred, jealousy, or a desperate desire to control what they cannot conquer. But when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will raise a standard against him. Trust in the LORD who fights for you, and find peace and comfort in His power.
