Helping the Helpless
Good morning Scripture reading: St. Luke 10: 25-37 Worship song: The Good Samaritan Meditation: The story told by Jesus relates to a man who stopped to assist and extended help to someone who was badly wounded. The Jews despised the Samaritans, yet this man risked his life to help, putting aside their differences and forgetting the resentment, hatred, and bitterness toward his kind. Helping others in need is a demonstration of the manifestation of the love of Jesus Christ in you. We are chosen to fulfill God's purpose by showing kindness to others and helping the needy. We are called to be Samaritans to help rescue those who are bound, lost and forgotten. To help the helpless, love the unloved, feed the hungry, clothe the naked and pray with and care for the needy.
