Keep My Commands
Good morning Scripture reading: Deuteronomy 6 Worship song: I command my soul Meditation: God established His covenant with the Israelites and gave them specific instructions regarding the keeping of His statutes and His commandments. Moses emphasized the need for the Israelites to love the Lord with all their heart and keep His laws in their hearts if they want to enter the Promised Land and enjoy the blessings that await them. They were to observe and do the will of God and love the Lord God with all their heart, soul, and with all their might. In obedience to the law, they were advised to forget not the Lord that brought them out of bondage, live a godly life, teach the word of God diligently to their children, and proclaim it in their household and wherever they go.
