Romans 8:16-17 confirms that believers are God’s adopted children and heirs to His kingdom, alongside Jesus Christ. This inheritance includes sharing in Christ’s suffering, enduring trials, persecution, or sacrifice for the Gospel which are considered temporary compared to the future glory. True members of Jesus' family are those who conform their lives to the desires of the Heavenly Father. Adoption into God's household makes us brothers and sisters, firmly rooted in our connection to Christ.
