Connected through Christ

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. John 1:1-13

Worship song: I Am A Child of God

Meditation:

A believer's primary identity is not based on their achievements or social standing, but in being a child of God. Romans 8:16-17 confirms that believers are God’s adopted children and heirs to His kingdom, alongside Jesus Christ. This inheritance includes sharing in Christ’s suffering, enduring trials, persecution, or sacrifice for the Gospel which are considered temporary compared to the future glory.

True members of Jesus' family are those who conform their lives to the desires of the Heavenly Father. Adoption into God's household makes us brothers and sisters, firmly rooted in our connection to Christ. Jesus described the personal relationship with him and believers as a vine and its branches, emphasizing that the branch cannot bear fruit unless it is connected to the vine. Remaining in the vine requires a consistent, obedient, and abiding relationship with Christ, allowing His love to shape every part of your life. When we abide in Christ, we are no more strangers, but are fellowcitizens with the saints, and members of the household of God. This identity is sealed and permanent, regardless of changes and life's circumstances.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, with a grateful heart, I give thanks to You, O God, for adopting us into Your family and making us joint-heirs with Jesus. We are thankful that we are no longer strangers tossed to and fro, but are fellowcitizens with the saints and members of your royal family. We are extremely thankful, Lord God, that you have redeemed us by your grace and cleansed us by your efficacious blood. Father, we thank You that because You are our strength and shield, we can remain unshakeable and fully committed to doing Your will. We thank you, Lord, for the assurance that we are secure in your care, now and forever through Jesus Christ. Amen. (Child of the King).

Wishing you a wonderful day. 👏💖🙏
