Routine Worship
Good morning Scripture reading: St Luke 4:16 Worship song: Like The Dew Meditation: It is customary for believers in Christ to gather in synagogues and places of worship at least once weekly to fellowship, praise, and honour God, our Creator. These religious practices, if performed without genuine desire and heart engagement, can become mere routines, detached from a life pleasing to God and a desire to glorify and submit to Him. Matthew 15:8 serves as a reminder that the outward expression of faith must align with a heart that is connected to God. When worship becomes a rigid routine, we become spiritually complacent, prioritizing empty tradition over a genuine and deepening connection with God. Our prayer life becomes mere utterance from lips with no inclination from the Holy Spirit. We read the word of God, but lack the wisdom to comprehend and grasp its contents.
