Modern Christian teachings are frequently likened to spiritual cotton candy that is sweetly sugar-coated, entertaining, and appeals to one's intellect rather than genuinely convicts the conscience. These messages tend to be filled with self-satisfaction and gratification. They offer immediate pleasure but lack substantive spiritual value or nourishment for the soul.
