Good morning Scripture reading: 1 Kings 17:1-16 Worship Song: Make a way   Meditation:      Today, we reflect on the powerful story of Elijah the Tishbite, who boldly declared the prophecy that there would be no rain or dew upon the land for three and a half years. Following that proclamation, the Lord told him to depart eastward and hide himself by the brook Cherith, and he would sustain him. Elijah obeyed the Lord's command, and as promised, God provided for him through ravens, delivering meals and refreshing him with water from the brook. Elijah was at a place where he had no choice but to depend on God and the resources he provided. We further learned that after the brook dried, the Lord told Elijah to move to Zarephath, where he commanded a widow there to sustain him.       As we gleaned from the scripture, we learned the importance of obedience and total reliance on the Lord.
