God still provides
Good morning
Scripture reading: 1 Kings 17:1-16
Worship Song: Make a way
Meditation:
Today, we reflect on the powerful story of Elijah the Tishbite, who boldly declared the prophecy that there would be no rain or dew upon the land for three and a half years. Following that proclamation, the Lord told him to depart eastward and hide himself by the brook Cherith, and he would sustain him. Elijah obeyed the Lord's command, and as promised, God provided for him through ravens, delivering meals and refreshing him with water from the brook. Elijah was at a place where he had no choice but to depend on God and the resources he provided. We further learned that after the brook dried, the Lord told Elijah to move to Zarephath, where he commanded a widow there to sustain him.
As we gleaned from the scripture, we learned the importance of
obedience and total reliance on the Lord. Elijah obeyed the Lord's command, and
the Lord fulfilled his promise made to Elijah. Because of Elijah's obedience
and steadfast trust, he remained untouched by the surrounding hardships. If we
dare to obey the Lord, rely on Him for provision, follow His instructions,
listen to His voice, and humbly wait upon Him to fulfill His promise, we will
witness remarkable transformation in our lives.
Let us pray:
Jehovah God, I exalt thee, O Lord, because you are worthy to
be praised. Almighty God, our provider, we rely on you, and you alone, to
supply our needs according to your riches in glory. Father, in the mighty name
of Jesus Christ, I call upon you, O God, to help us in the areas where our
brooks have become dry. I place every dry brook of financial debt and physical
and spiritual dryness before you, O God. Manifest yourself in our lives, O
Lord, especially in the lives of the hopeless, heavy-laden, and burdened by
their condition. Abba Father, your word declares that whatever is bound on
earth will be bound in heaven. Therefore, we bind the spirit of disobedience in
the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father, crush every disobedient spirit and
instill in us a deep desire to willingly obey your commands. We declare this in
the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our provider. Amen.
Have a blessed and peaceful day. ✌💞🙏
The resources of God cannot be depleted even if as many people that are on earth is as many times as we want to imagine.
ReplyDeleteThis is why even if we lack, God knows what He is doing. He knows our every needs and knows when He will supply them. The last thing we should do in tough and troubled times is to worry. How could anyone say that. He said in His words, let not your heart be troubled. Our relationship with Him will help us not to. Though the flesh is prone to, the Holy Spirit in us will dominate in times of those circumstances. He is able.
Let the Spirit speak and let the flesh be silent. Peace and love.
