Who Are Your Advisors?
Scripture reading: Esther 5 Praise song: His Blood Washes Me Meditation: When King Ahasuerus promoted Haman and set him above all the princes that were with him, all the servants that were in the king's gate bowed in reverence to Haman except Mordecai, the Jews. Haman tried everything to persuade Mordecai to bow before him but failed, and therefore he despised him. Consumed by his hatred, Haman sought ways to destroy Mordecai and all the Jews. He was so consumed by hatred and desire to destroy Mordecai that he listened to the advice of those whose hearts were just as evil as his. Unfortunately, Haman was hanged on the gallows he built for Mordecai. Seeking advice from those with evil intentions will always be detrimental. If you are consumed by bitterness, anger, wrath, and envy, if your heart is filled with evil, do not seek advice from someone whose heart is cold and callous, consumed with evil.
