Good morning Scripture: St. Luke 10:25-37 Worship song: Someone To Care Meditation: Demonstrating mercy requires taking practical, compassionate action to assist those in need, regardless of their background or identity. During the time of Jesus, Jews and Samaritans harbored deep mutual hostility. Nevertheless, the Samaritan did not allow cultural, racial, or religious differences to impede him from providing aid. Among us, there are many priests and Levites, but also some good Samaritans. We all encounter challenges that may cause us to feel disheartened at times, and it is often tempting to look away when we see someone in distress. While it may seem easier to ignore, walk on the other side, and keep going, we cannot profess love for God if we refuse to help or show mercy to those in need.
