Routine Worship
Good morning Scripture reading: St Luke 4:16 Worship song: The Heart of Worship Meditation: It is customary for believers in Christ to gather in synagogues and places of worship at least once weekly to fellowship, praise, and honor God, our Creator. These religious practices, if performed without genuine desire and heart engagement, can become mere routines, detached from a life pleasing to God and a desire to glorify and submit to Him. Matthew 15:8 is a reminder that outward expression of faith must align with a heart that is connected with God. When our lives are governed by customary rituals, we become complacent, and the purpose of our worship loses its true value because we are committed to following a routine rather than seeking to develop a closer relationship with God.
