Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide
Good morning Scripture reading: Psalms 139 Worship song: Where Can I Go Meditation: Overwhelmed with emotion, the Psalmist reflects on God's incredible, infinite power and omnipresence, marveling that God is intimately acquainted with every detail of his life, even his most hidden thoughts and feelings. God's wisdom and knowledge are unattainable; none has the power to obtain them. While we can earn academic titles, and be blessed with the spirit of discernment, we can never earn the boundless wisdom and knowledge that belong only to God. The Psalmist acknowledged that God's power is beyond human understanding. He realizes he cannot hide from God because God is always watching. As Psalm 139 states, there is nowhere to flee from God's presence.
