The Warning
Good morning Scripture reading: Genesis 19: 22-26 Worship song: I Won't Go Back Topic: The Warning God always warns before destroying a city or the wicked; He uses various methods to deliver these warnings, including prophets, spoken words, the Holy Spirit, angels, and other means to ensure people receive his message and have the opportunity to repent before facing destruction. The Bible provides multiple examples of God giving divine forewarnings. These include alerting Noah to the impending flood, dispatching the prophet Jonah to caution the wicked city of Nineveh, disclosing to Abraham his intention to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, and instructing Moses to deliver warnings to Pharaoh. God continues to issue warnings through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, visions, dreams, prophecy, and the Bible.
