My Soul Thirst
Good morning Scripture reading: St. John 4:1-15 Worship song: Thirst for You Meditation: Jesus departed from Galilee and entered the city of Sychar in Samaria. Weary and tired from his journey, he sat on a well that Jacob dug. While he was relaxing, a woman from Samaria came to draw water from the well. Jesus knew the appointed time the woman would arrive at the well to draw water. It was not the normal custom of the Jews to associate with Samaritans. Jesus, however, looked beyond tradition to rescue her perishing soul. Without hesitation, Jesus asks the woman to draw water for Him. Jesus approached her not for the sole purpose of obtaining water from the well but to offer her living water. The woman hurried to the city to spread the good news of the Messiah. Many Samaritans received Jesus Christ through the ministry of the woman at the well. There is no partiality when it comes to salvation and winning souls for Jesus Christ. Neither gender barrier,...
