Keep My Commandments
Good morning Scripture reading: Deuteronomy 6 Worship song: I Command My Soul Meditation: God established his covenant with the Israelites and gave them specific instructions regarding the keeping of his statutes and his commandments. Moses affirmed the need for the Israelites to love the Lord with all their hearts and keep his laws in their hearts if they wanted to enter the promised land and enjoy the blessings that awaited them. They were to observe and do the will of God and love the Lord God with all their heart, soul, and might. In obedience to the law, they were required to live a godly life, teach it diligently to their children, proclaim it in their houses and wherever they go, and not forget the Lord who brought them out of bondage.
