Why Do You Persecute Me?
Good morning Scripture reading: Job 19 Worship Song: You've Already Won Meditation: During a critical period in Job's life when he required support from those most dear to him including family and friends, they abandoned him and became like enemies. Job lamented that his close friends hated him and those he loved turned their backs on him. They forsook their duty of loyalty, leaving him feeling completely isolated. In his distress and despair, Job endured relentless and harsh accusations from those who came to comfort him. Job perceives God as his persecutor, bringing destruction upon his life and stripping him of his dignity, rendering life’s journey dark and hopeless. Despite these circumstances, Job maintains unwavering faith, declaring that he knows his Redeemer lives and that he will stand on the earth.
