Who are Thine Accusers?

Good morning Scripture reading: St. John 8: 1-11 Worship song: At Your Feet   Meditation:      The Scribes and Pharisees presented a woman to Jesus Christ, accusing her of adultery. They anticipated that Jesus would endorse her punishment by stoning which was the accepted consequence for such a sin. However, Jesus responded by inviting the one without sin to cast the first stone. Acknowledging their own guilt and embarrassed by their folly, her accusers slowly walked away, unable to condemn her in the presence of the Lord. This story highlights the human tendency to recognize the faults and mistakes in others yet fail to address their own iniquities and imperfections.       As communicated in Matthew 7 we must examine and address our own sins, make our slates clean before attempting to assist others with their transgressions.
