Good morning Scripture reading: Isaiah 49:14-16 Worship song: I Am Not Forgotten Meditation: In times of hardship, chastisement, and seemingly undeserved punishment, it is natural to wrestle with feelings of abandonment. The Israelites expressed this deep concern of neglect, believing they were rejected by God. They felt utterly cast aside and assumed God's silence meant he was wroth against them. Despite their cries for help, God did not immediately respond. In agony, they waited in anguish, bewailing their relentless situation, expecting swift rescue. Yet, God powerfully reassures them by informing them he has engraved them on the palms of his hands. He compared his unwavering love to that of a mother's love for her child, emphasizing that while human compassion may falter, His love is steadfast and eternal.
