Too Clogged to Function

Good morning Scripture Reading: 1 John 2:1-3 Worship Song: Empty Me, Lord   Meditation:      I witnessed a plumber remove debris from a clogged drain and was astonished by the amount of buildup that obstructed the water flow. This is a typical demonstration of our heart condition clogged with unconfessed sins. If we allow sin to accumulate in our lives, we will become like clogged drains. The plumber's role is to clear the drains, but Jesus specializes in redeeming us and clearing our hearts of the hoarded sins.       Unconfessed sins create a barrier between us and God, and because we hoard iniquity in our hearts, he will not hear us when we cry unto him. The only solution for the accumulation of sins is to bring them before our Lord and Savior in confession.
