Good morning Scripture reading: Joshua 2 Worship song: Jesus Use Me Meditation: There are a specific purpose and plan for everything under the sun, a principle that the story of Rahab, a Canaanite woman and a prominent figure in the book of Joshua, beautifully illustrates. Rahab resided in Jericho, a city known for its strong pagan worship, during the time when the Israelites, led by Joshua, were preparing to conquer the land of Canaan. She is highlighted as someone who hid the Israelites' spies demonstrating her faith in God. She believed in the God of the Israelites and was aware of his divine power and faithfulness towards the Israelites. For her bravery and kindness towards the spies, Joshua ensured that her entire household was rescued before the city was destroyed. See Joshua 6:22-25, and Hebrews 13:21.
