Turn Your Worries into Praise
Good morning Scripture reading: Matthew 6:25-34 Worship song: My life is in your hands Meditation: Why worry about tomorrow? Why worry when things are not going as planned? While it is easy to stop worrying about minor things, what do we do when bigger problems occur and leave us in a panic-stricken, frantic mood? Worry does not change anything. Instead of solving problems, worry drains your energy and keeps you from focusing on solutions. Worry only adds stress to our already overburdening situations, which can then lead to health hazards. Don't be anxious about your daily needs. God takes care of the birds, and he makes the lilies of the field beautiful. You are worth far more than they are. We worry because we lack faith in God, our provider. We worry because we carry our burdens instead of leaving them at the altar. Jesus says, Come unto me all who are heavy-laden.
