This proverb means that persons tend to associate with those who share similar interests, ideas, values, characteristics, or behaviors, etc. Oftentimes, we are influenced by those around us, especially those with whom we spend a lot of time. Show me your company, and I will tell you who you are. Be careful in your choice and choose your companions wisely. Choose people with the characteristics you would like to develop in your own life. Hang around mentors who have positive influences and move away from those who have a negative view of everything. What are your goals in life?
