How Deep Are Your Roots
Good morning Scripture reading: St. Matthew 13:3-9 Worship song: Rooted and Grounded Meditation: In the parable of the Sower who went to sow seeds, Jesus gave four different scenarios: the seed that fell on the wayside, the seed that fell on stony ground, the seed that fell among thorns, and the seed that fell on good ground. The seed that fell on the good ground represents the believers who hear the word, accept it, and bring forth fruit. The believers who are firmly anchored in Christ are like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, its leaves do not wither; and whatever they do will prosper. Those who are not firmly rooted endure but for a short time, for their roots are dried and their branches wither because they have no faith in God.
