Seek Refuge In The Lord
Good morning
Scripture reading: Psalm 46
Worship song: Hide Me Now
Meditation:
In Joshua 20, God commanded the Israelites to establish six cities of refuge for those accused of accidental manslaughter without evidence of hatred, protecting them from the avenger of blood until they faced trial. This system of divine mercy and justice allowed unintentional murderers to find sanctuary until the death of the high priest, after which they were freed. The accuser risked the death penalty if captured before reaching one of the cities of refuge, if they left that safety zone before a trial verdict, or the current high Priest's death.
Jesus is our refuge, fulfilling this role by providing believers a divine sanctuary from sin's guilt and judgment, shielding us from spiritual death through faith. We can seek refuge in Christ, to escape the wrath of God, the penalty for sin, and the pending eternal damnation. Through Jesus Christ alone, we receive true deliverance from sin. He is our unwavering fortress, our strong tower, our ultimate refuge and protector. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, stands as our exclusive refuge and strong tower, to protect us from life's dangers.
Those seeking freedom from internal struggles and sin's
stronghold can obtain salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, who is merciful
and just, ready to offer comfort and guidance. He is just a prayer away.
Let us pray:
Everlasting Father, my fortress and strong tower, I place my
unwavering trust in You. Preserve me, O God, and guide me to dwell in Your
presence all the days of my life. Father, I seek Your divine intervention,
praying You will give Your angels charge over us, safeguarding us from harm,
danger, and noisome pestilences. Protect us from every evil planner and those
who conspire against us. We acknowledge You, O God, as our refuge and strength,
our very present help in trouble. Block the path of those who set traps for our
downfall, mighty God. Most importantly, Lord God, rescue our souls, hearts, and
minds from the strongholds and corrupt thoughts that hold us captive. By Your
grace bind us to You, O God, and guide us into a closer relationship with You.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
Wishing you a fantastic day. 💓👏🙏
