Empowered By The Holy Spirit
Good morning Scripture reading: Acts 2:1-4 Hymn: The Comforter Has Come Meditation: Before ascending, Jesus assured His disciples He would not abandon them, promising to send the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. He instructed them to remain in Jerusalem until they were equipped with divine power from heaven to fulfill their mission to preach the gospel. This instruction and their obedience led to the events of Pentecost in Acts 2, where they were filled with the Holy Spirit while they were in the temple, praising and worshipping God. Jesus promised that for those who love and obey Him, the Father would send the Holy Spirit to dwell within them forever, acting as a counselor who teaches truth and brings Christ's words to remembrance.
