Dwelling in a Foreign Land
Good morning Scripture reading: Exodus 12:37-42 Worship song: Faithful Pilgrim Meditation: The Lord God revealed to Abram in a vision that his descendants would become immigrants in a foreign land and would be mistreated for four hundred (400) years Subsequently, He would send a deliverer to rescue them from bondage. God assured Abram that after this period, He would deliver them from their oppressors, and they would leave that country with great possessions. The events that transpired following Joseph's injustice and hardship laid the foundation for the circumstances leading to the Israelites' enslavement in Egypt. After Joseph's death, the Israelites in Egypt continued to experience abundant growth and prosperity. However, a new Pharaoh, who did not know Joseph, ascended to power.
