Living, Yet You Are Spiritually Dead
Good morning Scripture reading: Romans 6 Praise song: Jesus, He Rescued Me Meditation: You might ask, 'How can I be living, but dead?' Living a life apart from Christ means being in a spiritually dead condition. Anyone who has not embraced Jesus is in a condition of spiritual brokenness and exists apart from God's grace. This ultimately leads to damnation and separation from God if not reconciled. Spiritual death is the separation of the soul from God. The deepest and most meaningful purpose in life is found by committing one's life to Jesus Christ, for without Him, we are hopeless. If you are at a state where you are dead in your trespasses and sin, and consumed by your sinful nature, God can redeem you. The wages of sin are death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. When you decide to follow Jesus Christ, sin will no longer dominate your life.
