Nothing has touched me more deeply than seeing prisoners entering the courtroom chained together with shackles on their hands and feet. In that moment, I realized that serving in such a role was not something I was mentally prepared to do, so I kindly petitioned to be excused.       Observing the state of confinement prompted me to ponder the shackles that have restricted us spiritually.
