Be Not Afraid of Them
Good morning Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 20:1-4 Worship Song: Stands In Your Love Meditation: When we face an overwhelming challenge, it is understandable to feel afraid or uncertain. Fear grows when we focus on the magnitude of the challenge rather than remembering God's presence and power. After hearing the discouraging report from most of the spies, the Israelites became frightened, believing that the giants would defeat them and prevent them from entering the Promised Land. Moses gently addressed their fear, reminding them not to be intimidated by the enemy's horses, chariots, or strength. He reassured them that the same God who had delivered them from bondage in Egypt would go before them and fight for them. We all need this reassurance from time to time.
