Be Not Afraid of Them
Good morning
Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 20:1-4
Worship Song: Stands In Your Love
Meditation:
When we face an overwhelming challenge, it is understandable to feel afraid or uncertain. Fear grows when we focus on the magnitude of the challenge rather than remembering God's presence and power.
After hearing the discouraging report from most of the spies, the Israelites became frightened, believing that the giants would defeat them and prevent them from entering the Promised Land. Moses gently addressed their fear, reminding them not to be intimidated by the enemy's horses, chariots, or strength. He reassured them that the same God who had delivered them from bondage in Egypt would go before them and fight for them.
We all need this reassurance from time to time.
Through Christ, we have the strength to face our giants, whether they are
spiritual, physical, or emotional. When life feels difficult, we can take
comfort in knowing that the One who is with us is greater than anything that
stands against us. Jehovah promises to care for His children, and He has never
broken His covenant. Whatever you are facing, you don't have to carry it alone.
Trust God to care for you; for the battle is not yours, but it is the Lord's.
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. Faith can overcome every fear.
Let us pray:
Jehovah God, we thank You for Your sovereign power to
dismantle and confound the adversary. Thank You, Lord for Your faithful promise
to care for Your children. We acknowledge that nothing is impossible with You,
Almighty God. Today, we bow in reverence to Your authority and place our
well-being in Your loving hands, trusting in Your divine guidance. We bring
every emotional, physical, and spiritual burden to You, believing that these
giants will be subdued and bow to Your sovereignty. Please quiet the spirit of
fear and doubt that magnifies the giants before us. Almighty God, rewrite every
discouraging report over our lives. Silence the voices that say it cannot be
done, and replace them with the bold faith of Joshua and Caleb. Fill us with
the reassurance that You are more than able to bring to pass all that You have
promised. We pray in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you uncommon favor. 👏👐🙏
I trust You, Lord.
