Position Yourself for Change

Good morning

Scripture reading: St. Luke 19:1-10

Hymn: Dear Refuge of My Weary Soul

Meditation:

Zacchaeus is portrayed as a wealthy chief tax collector among the publicans, who desired to see Jesus Christ. Although he was physically wealthy, he was spiritually bankrupt. He must have experienced an inner void that prompted him to seek spiritual refuge. A multitude had assembled, waiting to see Jesus, but Zacchaeus, who was short in stature, made his way through the crowd. Onlookers may have ridiculed him as he climbed a tree to see Jesus, but he did not care, for he knew he was broken inside.

After Zacchaeus communed with Jesus Christ, his perspective on life changed. In response to Jesus's offer of salvation, Zacchaeus promised to give half of his wealth to the poor and repay four times the amount he had acquired through fraud. Zacchaeus sincerely sought Jesus because he desired a profound change in his life, a change he subsequently experienced, leading to his salvation and a transformed life.

What about you? Are you feeling frustrated or dissatisfied with the way you are living? You are not alone, and it may be time to seek God's help to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God who works in you, giving you the desire and strength to do what pleases Him. To receive salvation, we are invited to seek the Lord wholeheartedly. Through this commitment, we can experience God's wonders and supernatural power.

Let us pray:

Almighty God, I bow before You in reverence. You are the way, the truth, and the life, the only God who offers salvation, mercy, and grace. Lord, there is no other name under heaven given to humanity by which we can be saved. With this realization, Lord God, I intercede on behalf of my family, friends, and neighbors. I am deeply concerned about their souls as I am about my own. Please rescue us, O God, from the path that leads to ruin and help us turn away from self-destruction. Lord, I know that You desire none to perish, but that all seek salvation. Touch our wandering hearts, mighty God; renew our mindset, guide us in Your truth, and teach us, for You are the God of our salvation. Father, I worship and praise You for the changes You are bringing into our lives for Your glory. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

Wishing you a blessed day. ✌💕🙏
