Why We Praise Him

Meditation:

    Isaiah reminds us that the Lord is the eternal Creator of everything, a God who never slumbers, never grows weary, and whose wisdom is beyond our full understanding. He is the ultimate source of power, giving renewed strength to those who are weak and weary. 

    The Psalmist recognized the sovereign power of God and urges us to acknowledge that He is greatly to be praised with enthusiasm. 

    Apostle Paul redefines praise not just as singing songs, but as our everyday actions. He urged us to offer our bodies as a "living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God," which he calls our true and proper worship. 

    We praise God because His wisdom is unsearchable. He heals the broken in heart, defends the meek, and provides comfort and emotional restoration. Praise the Lord for His mighty acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness. Praise the Lord who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases. Praise God for He is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. Praise Him for His unconditional love, His unlimited mercies, boundless grace, and willingness to pardon our iniquities.

Let us pray:

    Heavenly Father, Redeemer, Provider, and Healer, You are the Almighty Creator, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. I acknowledge You as my Lord and King. Out of deep gratitude for Your faithfulness, I offer my life to You, committing my everyday actions to Your purpose. I praise You, Almighty God, for You promised never to leave or forsake me. I praise You, Lord, for Your unending love, Your boundless grace, and divine faithfulness that guides me every day. Lord, You are my strength, my shield, and my comfort. Thank You for the beauty of Your creation, Your healing power, Your mercies that are new each day, and for the ultimate gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. I lift my voice to glorify Your holy name and bow my heart in reverence to You for rescuing me from the stronghold of sin and granting me access to the throne of grace. In Jesus' precious name. Amen.

Good morning Scripture reading: Colossians 2:1-8 Worship song: Lead Me O Lead Me   Meditation:      Apostle Paul was deeply concerned about the spiritual well-being of all believers. He was aware that traditional human practices and rituals seemed spiritual but were not rooted in Christ's teachings. Paul's concern extended specifically to the believers in the Colossian church and Laodicea, as well as others he had never personally encountered, who were being influenced and misled by false teachers.       As a devoted minister of the gospel, Paul tirelessly mentored believers in God's truth. Good morning Scripture Reading: James 1:12-17 Hymn: Yield Not to Temptation   Meditation:      We are reminded in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that there is no temptation we experience that is not common among humans. There is absolutely nothing we can do to avoid being tempted, and none of us is exempt from being beguiled. Satan is crafty and cunning, so much so that he thought he could beguile the Son of God. The only power Satan has over us is temptation; when confronted with a situation that appeals to our human desires, we are all capable of succumbing to that pressure.       Temptation is not easy to resist, but God's promise assures us that we will not be tempted above that which we cannot endure. Inevitably, trials will expose our vulnerabilities. Good morning Scripture reading: Mark 12:41-44 Praise song: Sacrifice of Praise   Meditation:      The story of the poor widow invites us to reflect deeply on the true definition of generosity and the importance of selfless sacrifice. The widow's small offering highlights the example of genuine giving, in contrast to the large donations from the wealthy who gave from their abundance. Jesus was not focused on the amount given. He was focused on the widow's willingness to sacrifice all her livelihood.       The message conveyed is that a cheerful and sacrificial spirit is more valuable than a large amount, because God judges the gift based on the giver's willingness and the condition of the heart, not the size of the contribution.
