You Shall Trample
Good morning
Scripture reading: St. Luke 10:19
Worship song: Treadin On Lions
Meditation:
Jesus does not send us on missions without first equipping us. When Jesus appointed the seventy disciples, He did not send them empty-handed or alone. Before sending them on their mission, He organized them into groups of two, gave them specific instructions, and empowered them with divine authority. They did not rely on their own strength, intellect, or power, but on the divine authority of Jesus Christ, who had commissioned them.
Jesus's
profound promise to the seventy remains true for us today. He promises that
those who believe in Him shall do greater works through the power of the Holy
Spirit (St. John 14:12). We have spiritual authority to tread upon serpents and
scorpions, and over the power of the adversary; nothing shall by any means hurt
us. Armed with God's authority, we will conquer the lion and its cubs, the
adder, and the dragons (Psalm 91:13). Through the power of Christ, you have
divine authority to overcome adversity, including illness, fear, anxiety,
doubt, spiritual oppression, and demonic forces. Victory is ours when we walk
in obedience to God’s instructions and follow His direction. We do not rely on
our own fragile defenses; we walk under the shield of His victory.
Let us pray:
Almighty God, we acknowledge the power and authority You
have given unto us to conquer and defeat the enemy. Remind us daily of the
authority and power You have entrusted to us to tread upon scorpions and
serpents, and that nothing shall by any means harm us. Lord, by the authority
granted unto us, we trample upon the adversities of sickness, fear, doubt,
spiritual oppression, and demonic strongholds. We declare victory over every
trial, temptation, and the plan of the enemy. Almighty God, grant us the courage
to walk boldly and fearlessly, while exercising caution and following the
guidance of the Holy Spirit. Forgive us, Lord, for the times we allow fear,
doubt, or intimidation to hinder us from fulfilling your divine purpose. In the
precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Hi, how beautiful what you share here. I loved the reminder that Jesus does not send us out empty-handed, but equips us and gives us authority in Him, so we do not have to rely on our own fragile strength.
