Bridge the Gap

Meditation:

    Historical records indicate that China's emperors began constructing the Great Wall between the 7th and 8th centuries B.C., a project over a period of more than 1,000 years. The Great Wall emerged as the most recognized symbol of China, erected when the Warring States built defensive walls to prevent incursions and invaders with the intent that it would ward off enemies from the north and protect their territory. 

    Similarly, in our lives, we often erect defensive walls intended to keep intruders and invaders at bay. However, more often than not, these walls trap us rather than protect us. Typically, emotional walls are erected after experiencing a broken heart and before the healing process is completed. The walls we build do not serve to protect us; rather, they keep us locked in the prisons of our own making. 

    We attempt desperately to shield ourselves from being hurt by others but often build pathways of isolation. If we surrender entirely to Jesus, He will not only dismantle the walls of defense and separation but also mend our broken hearts and bestow upon us His peace.

Let us pray:    Dear Heavenly Father, You are the One true God from the beginning to the end, matchless in splendor and honor. Therefore, Abba Father, I give You glory. Father, we humbly approach Your throne of mercy for You are the Almighty God who is sovereign over all, and only You know our destiny. We acknowledge that only You can truly shield us from the onslaught of evil and deliver us from the bindings that held us captives. We look to You, Almighty God, to help us rise from the ashes of defeat, brokenness, and scars that have led us to construct walls of separation. We look to You, Lord, as our defense to protect our families and us, as our protective mechanisms often fail. Abba Father, we abandon these walls of imprisonment that have bound us emotionally, and we ask that You dismantle and tear down every barrier, inch by inch. Almighty God, set us free from that which enslaves us in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

    Walls that are meant to protect can walled us in. One we trust the leading, guiding hands of the Lord, nothing can hinder us. Sometimes the path is not clear but there is a path. This is where family, friends and brethren matters because God works through them. The Lord declares, I know the plans I have for you delcares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jer. 29:11. Scripture gives us hope until reality is realized. 🙏🙏💪

Jesus Is Calling You

Good morning Scripture reading: Matthew 9:9-13 Worship song: Softly and Tenderly   Meditation:      Matthew, a collector of internal revenue, was diligently collecting taxes as is customary; however, when Jesus called, he immediately left everything behind and followed him. The Pharisees perceived tax collectors as adversaries to be avoided. Jesus regarded them as souls in need of spiritual healing. While the Pharisees imposed strict rules on tax collectors, Jesus extended genuine forgiveness and offered a fresh beginning. Good morning   Scripture reading: Matthew 18:19-20 Worship song: Go   Meditation:      The mandate for mission is an authoritative command, a divine commission that is non-negotiable for believers to spread the gospel and make disciples. Those who are sent by God are commissioned to go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things as commanded by God. Good morning Scripture: 1 Kings 18:41-46 Worship song: Baba (Let it Rain)   Meditation:      Elijah was a man subject to the same passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it rained not on the earth for the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain. Elijah had prayed the drought into existence. Now, it was time for the drought to end. He began to petition the God of the universe for rain. Not a little rain, but enough rain to quench the thirst of the land. After Elijah's seventh request, rain came in abundance.
