How Deep Are Your Roots
Good morning
Scripture reading: St. Matthew 13:3-9
Worship song: Rooted and Grounded
Meditation:
In the parable of the Sower who went to sow seeds, Jesus gave four different scenarios: the seed that fell on the wayside, the seed that fell on stony ground, the seed that fell among thorns, and the seed that fell on good ground. The seed that fell on the good ground represents the believers who hear the word, accept it, and bring forth fruit. The believers who are firmly anchored in Christ are like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, its leaves do not wither; and whatever they do will prosper.
Those who are not firmly rooted
endure but for a short time, for their roots are dried and their branches
wither because they have no faith in God. They shall not stand in the
congregation of the righteous. We must abide in Jesus Christ, rooted and built
up in him and established in the faith, so that adversity does not uproot us.
Let us pray:
Almighty God, we pray, Lord, for an unshakeable faith
nourished by your presence like a tree planted by the water. Help us to be so
grounded in You that no difficulty can uproot us, no anxiety can shake us, and
no storm can destroy us. Lord God, make our hearts a sanctuary where love and
faith dwell and Your word resides. Strengthen us, Lord, to remain steadfast and
focused. Keep us rooted and grounded, established through Your divine strength
that others may witness the Christ within us, and give You glory in the name of
Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wishing you a blessed day. 👏💗🙏
We cannot give credit to the trunk of the tree, the branches, nor the leaves without the roots for they all exist because of the roots, what about the soil. We can't have one without the other. This shows how we are connected because God intend for us to be one and dependent on each other. 🙏🙏
