Your Redemption Draws Near

Good morning

Scripture reading: 2 Peter 3

Hymn: Redemption Draweth Nigh

Meditation:

Many religious teachings interpret the increase in disasters, diseases, and wickedness plaguing the land as an indicator that the end of the world is near. However, scoffers fail to associate these occurrences as signs; instead, they ridicule this belief, arguing that such issues have existed since the beginning of creation. Individuals may perceive these events differently; nonetheless, Scriptures remind us that just as it was in the beginning, so shall it be at the end.

In Luke 21, during His sermon on the Mount of Olives, Jesus explained how one may discern that the kingdom of God is near. No one knows the day nor the hour when the Son of Man will appear, for He will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.

While we anticipate Christ's return, we should diligently, actively seek to live holy, pure, and peaceful lives as we await His coming (2 Peter 3:14).

Now is the appropriate time to draw nearer to God. The future remains uncertain; no one is promised tomorrow. The life you lead will determine your eternal destiny. Individuals are granted a grace period, the expiration of which is unknown, so be mindful that your days are numbered. Be prepared when your number is called, for there is no opportunity for repentance in the grave.

Let us pray:

Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient Father, we acknowledge that the signs of the time are evident everywhere, and our redemption draws near. Assist us, Lord, to display moral conduct, focusing more on You, and not become overwhelmed by what is happening during this season. Teach us, Lord, to number our days, and to remain grounded, established, and rooted in Your words, living a life that glorifies You. Father, we surrender our hearts to You, trusting You to keep us close to You. Incline our ears to hear Your voice and grant us a heart that desires You more each day. Stir within us a renewed hunger to know You more profoundly. As the days grow shorter, let Your presence grow stronger in our lives and quiet every anxious thought with Your absolute peace that surpasses all understanding. Help us forsake worldly corruption and embrace Your divine gift of salvation. May our lives be a reflection of Your goodness, grace, and unfailing mercies, guiding others to You, Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Wishing you a joyful day. 💕🙏🙌
