Destined For Greatness
Good morning
Scripture: Genesis 39:1-21
Worship song: In the valley
Meditation:
The life of Joseph powerfully demonstrated God's sovereignty and grace for those who live faithfully and righteously. Joseph was divinely protected. Despite being sold to the slave traders, the favor of the Lord was upon him. God would have it that Joseph would be favored by his master, be promoted from a slave to a manager/overseer of Pharaoh's estate and household.
As Joseph served faithfully and sincerely, the enemy plotted against him. Daily Joseph was tempted by his master's wife as she tried to beguile him to commit a forbidden act and to sin against God. Yet, Joseph stood firm and resisted. When she realized that Joseph would not yield, she became angry and lied to her husband, leading to Joseph's imprisonment. Though Joseph encountered many hardships, God’s presence and favor remained with him.
What was meant for
evil, and his downfall, God transformed into blessings that later benefited his
family. Under God's protection, the schemes of the adversary cannot prevent
your victory.
Let us pray:
Jehovah God, King of all kings and Lord of all lords, You
are worthy of glory, honor, and praise. Almighty God, in seasons of
challenges, help us trust Your divine plan and refrain from relying on solely
on our limited understanding. Father, in the face of all opposition, equip us
with the grace to stand firm and fulfill Your divine purpose. Though we do not
always see Your direct plans, may we stand firm on Your promises, confident
that all things work together for our good to those who love You and are called
according to Your purpose. Heavenly Father, we confidently proclaim that when the
enemy comes in like a flood, You will lift up a standard against him.
Strengthen us during moments of weakness to overcome every challenge. In the
name of Jesus Christ, our King. Amen.
Shalom. Keep safe. ✌👏🙏
