You are Not Forgotten
Good morning
Scripture reading: Isaiah 49:14-16
Worship song: I Am Not Forgotten
Meditation:
In times of hardship, chastisement, and seemingly undeserved punishment, it is natural to wrestle with feelings of abandonment. The Israelites expressed this deep concern of neglect, believing they were rejected by God. They felt utterly cast aside and assumed God's silence meant he was wroth against them. Despite their cries for help, God did not immediately respond. In agony, they waited in anguish, bewailing their relentless situation, expecting swift rescue. Yet, God powerfully reassures them by informing them he has engraved them on the palms of his hands. He compared his unwavering love to that of a mother's love for her child, emphasizing that while human compassion may falter, His love is steadfast and eternal.
You may sometimes feel forgotten
by God but rest assured God has not forgotten you. He knows exactly where you
are and what you are going through right now. When you are facing challenges,
do not be dismayed or terrified, for the Lord your God will be with you. You
will not face your adversary alone because the Lord promises not to leave or
forsake you. He will deliver you from captivity and set you free. Wait patiently
on God; He is an on-time God, and He will show up just in time. Be of good
courage, and wait, I say, on the Lord. Even amid change and uncertainty, the
Lord does not change; he remains the same.
Let us pray:
Almighty God, I give you thanks for your word that
strengthens my faith and reminds me that you will never abandon me. Even though
there are times I feel forgotten and feel like I am alone in my challenges, I
am grateful for the unwavering assurance that you are always with me. Thank
you, Lord God, for your compassion that fails not. Almighty God, I relinquish
all control, and I place my life and will into your hands, acknowledging that
you know what is best for me. Most of all, thank you, Lord, for your unconditional
love, mercy, grace, and faithful promises through Jesus Christ, our Savior.
Amen.
Have a wonderful day. 💗💏🙏
Bless God. Amen.
